Delhi Police have arrested an 18-year-old man from the Gokalpuri area after he allegedly flaunted illegal firearms in videos uploaded on social media. Two country-made pistols were seized during the operation, an official confirmed on Friday.

Arrest and Recovery

The accused, identified as Manish alias Kangla, was apprehended during a patrol in northeast Delhi’s Sanjay Colony on Wednesday evening. According to police, he had uploaded videos showing himself brandishing illegal firearms. When officers attempted to stop him for verification, he fled into his house and refused to cooperate.

During sustained questioning, Manish admitted that the weapons in the videos were real and revealed that he had concealed them at his residence. Based on his disclosure, police searched the premises and recovered two country-made pistols, commonly known as desi kattas.

Legal Action and Background

An FIR has been registered at the Gokalpuri police station. Police further disclosed that Manish was previously involved in a case registered at Farsh Bazar. The investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the firearms and any possible links to criminal networks.
