A Delhi woman has claimed that she and her friend were chased by a car carrying naked men in Noida, and a video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The woman, identified as Priya, shared the footage on Instagram, showing a white car following their auto-rickshaw late at night. She alleged that the occupants of the car were completely naked and were harassing them.

The incident reportedly took place around 11:30 PM on May 20 in Sector 62, Noida. Priya and her friend were returning home in an auto when they noticed a white car tailing them. According to Priya, the car had no number plate, and the men inside were naked and making obscene gestures. The auto driver, fearing for their safety, sped up and managed to lose the car after taking several turns.
Priya stated that she recorded the video as evidence and later posted it online to alert others. The video quickly garnered thousands of views and sparked outrage among netizens, with many demanding strict action against the perpetrators.
Police Response
Following the viral video, the Noida Police took cognizance of the matter. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Noida, Rajesh Kumar, confirmed that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including for outraging the modesty of a woman and criminal intimidation. The police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle and the suspects.
“We have registered an FIR and are investigating the matter. The accused will be apprehended soon,” said DCP Kumar. He also urged women to report such incidents immediately and assured that patrolling has been increased in the area.

The incident has reignited concerns about women’s safety in the National Capital Region (NCR). Many social media users have praised Priya for her courage in sharing the video, while others have criticized the police for not doing enough to prevent such crimes. Local residents have demanded better security measures, including more CCTV cameras and police presence in secluded areas.
Priya, in her post, thanked the auto driver for his quick thinking and urged other women to stay vigilant. “We were lucky that our driver was alert. Please always share your location with friends and family when traveling late,” she wrote.

The police have formed multiple teams to track down the suspects. They are also examining the possibility that the car might have been stolen or used with fake number plates. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information regarding the incident.
