A tragic incident occurred at the Kulwal Bharat Gas Agency warehouse in Sikar's Shrimadhopur area on Tuesday, where a delivery man succumbed to severe burns sustained in a fire. The deceased, identified as Yadav, had been employed with the agency for approximately 15 years. The incident sparked a nearly six-hour protest by family members and local villagers, who alleged murder and demanded an impartial investigation.
Initial Reports and Family Dispute
According to initial information, Yadav allegedly poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire. However, his family strongly disputed this sequence of events, raising suspicion of murder. They staged a sit-in protest at the site, refusing to allow the body to be moved until their demands were met.
Protest and Demands
The protesters demanded that senior officials be called to the spot, a post-mortem be conducted by a medical board, and an impartial probe be initiated. They also called for action against those responsible for the incident. Additionally, the family sought compensation of Rs 1 crore and a contractual job for a dependent of the deceased.
The protest lasted nearly six hours, disrupting normal activities in the area. Authorities are yet to comment on the demands, but the situation underscores the need for a thorough investigation to determine the true cause of the fire and the circumstances leading to Yadav's death.
