DGP Rajeev Krishna Urges IPS Probationers on Cyberpolicing

Lucknow: Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna on Wednesday interacted with 23 IPS probationers of the 2023-24 batch who are undergoing field training. During the session, he stressed the importance of professional excellence, cyberpolicing skills, and effective public grievance redressal.

Interaction at Police Headquarters

The interaction took place at the police headquarters, where the probationers shared feedback from their ongoing 29-week district training. They highlighted exposure to various aspects of policing, including crime control, law and order maintenance, cyber investigations, forensic tools, traffic management, VVIP security, and the implementation of new criminal laws.

DGP's Emphasis on Practical Training

Addressing the probationers, the DGP stated that practical training is critical in preparing officers to tackle real-world policing challenges. He underscored that while ethics remain central to policing, professional competence, legal knowledge, and operational skills are key to effective law enforcement. He urged the probationers to prepare for upcoming challenges such as the implementation of new laws and election duties.
