Disabled Man Allegedly Beaten to Death in Rohtas Village After Visiting Married Woman
A tragic incident unfolded in the Baradhi village under the Mufassil police station area of Rohtas district, where a 28-year-old differently abled man was allegedly beaten to death on Friday night. The victim, identified as Shailendra Kumar, also known as Shailesh Kumar, had reportedly gone to meet a married woman, Ragini Mishra, after receiving a phone call from her.
Details of the Incident
According to family members, Shailendra Kumar and Ragini Mishra were in regular contact over the phone. On the night of the incident, Shailendra left his home on the pretext of going to urinate but instead went to Ragini's residence. Upon finding him there, Ragini's husband, Daddu Mishra, along with other family members, allegedly assaulted him. Shailendra succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Police Response and Investigation
After being informed, the victim's father, Lal Badan Singh, alerted Dial 112. Police promptly reached the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for a post-mortem examination. Mufassil SHO Rajeev Ranjan Singh stated that the accused husband, Daddu Mishra, has been arrested and sent to jail. Further investigation is currently underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The case has highlighted concerns over violence in rural areas and the vulnerability of differently abled individuals. Authorities are urging the public to report such incidents promptly to ensure swift justice.
