Deputy Superintendent of Police A A Saiyad was driving from Vadodara to Anand when he lost control of the vehicle near the Adas bridge, according to police reports. The car veered off the road and slammed into five individuals who were standing by the roadside.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Dodiya, a resident of Ahmedabad, Manoj Katara, and Sheetal Talpada, all of whom succumbed to grievous injuries sustained in the crash. Two others, Kachra Bariya and Mahi Talpada, suffered injuries and have been hospitalized.

Police investigations revealed that Sanjay Dodiya and his family had visited a temple in Vadodara and were returning home when they stopped briefly on the highway to have food. They were standing by the roadside when the speeding car struck them.
