Balotra Superintendent of Police Ramesh revealed crucial background details, stating that a missing person report for the woman had been filed at Kalyanpur police station approximately one and a half months prior. When police successfully traced her location, she explicitly expressed her desire to return with her family members, following which authorities formally handed her over to them. This development reportedly angered a young man and his associates, who then meticulously planned the kidnapping attempt as retaliation.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shishpal, the attackers arrived at the village residence in two Scorpio vehicles. While one man stood guard at the entrance with a weapon, seven others armed with pistols and sticks forcibly entered the home, where the woman's parents, three brothers, and sisters were present. Children playing in the courtyard immediately ran inside upon seeing the armed intruders, alerting the family.
The situation escalated rapidly when one attacker entered the courtyard brandishing a pistol, accompanied by another wielding a stick. As the woman's brother emerged from a room, the group began retreating momentarily. In a critical moment, one assailant attempted to load and fire the pistol but failed mechanically. Seizing this opportunity, the brother struck the attackers with an iron stand, initiating a fierce resistance.
With other family members joining the defense, the armed group fled in the Scorpio parked outside, abandoning a magazine at the scene in their haste. The entire confrontation demonstrated remarkable bravery from the family against overwhelming odds.
