Faridabad Tavern Employee Fatally Attacked by Wedding Procession Over Alcohol Dispute
In a shocking incident in Faridabad, a 30-year-old tavern employee was beaten to death by members of a wedding procession after he refused to serve them alcohol, according to police reports on Wednesday. The tragic event unfolded around 12:30 am near a community centre in Ballabgarh's Sector-3 area, highlighting a violent escalation over a simple refusal.
Details of the Fatal Altercation
The deceased has been identified as Aadesh, aged 30, originally from Uttar Pradesh. Police stated that a group of wedding guests from Gurugram arrived at the tavern, which is situated near a liquor shop in HSVP Market, demanding alcohol. When Aadesh declined to serve them, the guests became enraged and allegedly launched a brutal attack on him.
The assault was so severe that Aadesh was unable to defend himself due to the large number of attackers, leading to his immediate death on the spot. Authorities emphasized that the victim succumbed to his injuries during the thrashing, with no chance for self-defense or escape.
Police Response and Investigation
Following the incident, police were alerted and promptly responded by sending the body for postmortem examination. Teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused individuals involved in this heinous crime.
Inspector Ranbir Singh, SHO of Sector 8 police station in Faridabad, confirmed that an FIR has been registered against unknown accused, and a thorough probe is underway to ensure swift arrests. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning eyewitnesses to gather more evidence and piece together the sequence of events.
