Jalore Farmer Confesses to Brutal Triple Murder of Family Members

In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 40-year-old farmer from Jalore district has allegedly murdered his wife and two young children using a sharp-edged agricultural implement. The gruesome crime occurred Wednesday night at the family's residence in Bhinmal, with police discovering the horrific scene early Thursday morning.

Police Discover Slain Family Members on Cot

According to Bhinmal Station House Officer Rajendra Singh Rajpurohit, the accused farmer Manglaram called police around 6am on Thursday, claiming that unknown assailants had killed his family members while they slept. However, when officers rushed to the agricultural farmhouse in village Daspa, they found a disturbing scene that contradicted this initial story.

"We found all three victims lying on a cot with their throats slit," SHO Rajpurohit stated. "There was blood everywhere - from the cot to the floor of the room. The visual evidence was immediately suspicious."

Bloodstains Lead to Confession

Police attention quickly turned to Manglaram himself when officers noticed bloodstains on his body and clothing. Under intense questioning, the farmer eventually broke down and confessed to the triple murder, admitting he had used a traditional farming tool called a 'koot' to carry out the brutal attacks.

"The investigation so far has revealed that the husband and wife argued over some issue at night," explained SHO Rajpurohit. "Following this argument, he first killed his wife and then attacked his children who were sleeping nearby."

Family Background and Surviving Members

The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Dadami Devi (the wife), 10-year-old daughter Nikku, and 7-year-old son Hitesh. The couple had been married for approximately twenty years and had four children total - three sons and one daughter.

Tragically, two sons survived the horrific incident:

  • One son was working in another state at the time
  • The other son was sleeping with grandparents in a nearby house

Police Investigation and Community Context

SHO Rajpurohit noted that the timing of the crime may have prevented intervention from neighbors. "The wife might have cried for help, but due to the absence of people around because of weddings in the village, she might not have been heard," he explained, highlighting how village celebrations may have masked any cries for assistance.

Police have detained the accused farmer and are proceeding with their investigation systematically. "We have detained the accused and will begin investigation once the postmortem is done and the bodies are handed over for cremation," confirmed SHO Rajpurohit. He added that preliminary findings suggest the murders resulted from some form of family dispute.

The case continues to develop as authorities gather more evidence and statements from family members and neighbors in the Bhinmal area of Jalore district.
