A devastating road accident on the Pune-Solapur highway near Uruli Kanchan has resulted in one fatality and left three individuals with serious injuries. The tragic incident occurred on Friday morning when an SUV, carrying four occupants, veered off the road and collided with a tree at Koregaon Mul village, approximately 30 kilometers from Pune.

The Pune Rural police have confirmed the identity of the deceased as Gorakh Mane. The injured persons have been identified as Samdhan Babar, Vijay Mane, and Alkesh Khan. All three survivors are currently receiving medical treatment at a private hospital, where their condition is being closely monitored.

According to police officials, the four men had traveled to Mumbai on Thursday to attend a business meeting concerning banana exports. After concluding their meeting, they departed from Mumbai late on Thursday night and arrived in Hadapsar, Pune, around 6:30 AM on Friday. They were en route to their homes in Karmala, Solapur, when the accident occurred.
An officer from the Pune Rural police provided further details, stating, "After driving a few kilometers on the Pune-Solapur highway, when they reached Koregaon Mul, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The SUV subsequently crashed into a tree along the highway, leading to severe injuries for all occupants."
Immediate Aftermath and Legal Proceedings
Following the crash, all four individuals sustained significant injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Tragically, Gorakh Mane succumbed to his injuries during treatment. In response to the incident, the Uruli Kanchan police have registered a case of causing death by negligence, initiating an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
