Faridabad Father Brutally Kills 4-Year-Old Daughter Over Writing Error
A horrifying incident of domestic violence has shaken Faridabad as a four-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by her own father for failing to write numbers from 1 to 50 correctly. The tragic event unfolded on Wednesday at the family's rented residence in Jhadsentli, Faridabad, where they had recently relocated from Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh.
Brutal Assault with Household Object
According to police reports, Krishna Jaiswal (31) repeatedly struck his young daughter Vanshika with a rolling pin before slamming her onto the floor in a fit of rage over her inability to properly write numbers. The assault resulted in severe head injuries that proved fatal for the innocent child.
Attempted Cover-Up and Discovery
Following the brutal beating, Jaiswal took his critically injured daughter to the hospital where he attempted to conceal his crime by telling his wife Ranjita that Vanshika had fallen down the stairs while playing. However, the couple's seven-year-old son, who was present during the incident, later revealed the truth to his mother about his sister being violently beaten.
"The child suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead at the hospital. His wife came directly from her office to hospital. Jaiswal also told doctors the same story," a police officer involved in the investigation stated.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Ranjita, upon discovering injury marks on her daughter's body and hearing her son's account, immediately filed a police complaint on Friday, leading to Jaiswal's arrest. A murder case has been registered against him under BNS Section 103(1) at Sector 58 police station in Faridabad.
Police have taken Jaiswal on a day's remand for detailed questioning to establish the exact sequence of events and verify statements from family members and neighbors. Investigators are meticulously recording testimonies from relatives and neighbors to reconstruct what transpired during that fateful Wednesday.
Family Background and Circumstances
Police revealed that both parents work for a private firm in alternating shifts, with the mother working days and Jaiswal working nights while caring for the children during daytime hours. The young victim was not enrolled in formal school and was being taught at home by her father at the time of the incident.
The couple has two other children who were both present at home when the tragedy occurred. Family dynamics and the pressure of home education are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
Ongoing Investigation and Legal Proceedings
Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal confirmed that "The child's body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and the cause of death is being corroborated with medical findings. Further probe is under way."
The case has highlighted serious concerns about child safety and domestic violence within households, particularly in situations where parents bear the dual responsibility of education and caregiving. Authorities continue to gather evidence while the community grapples with the shocking nature of this preventable tragedy.
