Gurdaspur Youth Dies in England Road Accident, Family Appeals for Help
A young man from Gurdaspur district in Punjab has died in a tragic road accident in England. Keshav Sharma, a resident of Nangal Brahmana village, passed away just four months after moving abroad.
Keshav traveled to England on a study visa with dreams of building a better future for his family. He left India to pursue opportunities overseas after years of hard work.
Family Devastated by Sudden Loss
News of Keshav's death has plunged his village into deep mourning. His family members are completely heartbroken by the unexpected tragedy.
Keshav's father died back in 2008. Since that time, Keshav had shouldered the responsibility of supporting his entire family. He was the sole breadwinner for his mother and two sisters.
Villagers remember Keshav as a bright and friendly young man. He worked tirelessly to overcome his family's financial struggles. His journey abroad represented years of effort to escape poverty.
Uncle Shares Family's Anguish
Keshav's uncle, Parveen Kumar, expressed profound shock at the devastating news. "No one imagined we would receive such terrible news within just four months," he said.
"Keshav was the only brother to his two sisters and the main support for the entire family. After his father's death, all responsibilities fell on his shoulders. He went abroad specifically to fulfill his duties - to secure a better future and arrange marriages for his sisters," Parveen Kumar explained.
The uncle revealed that Keshav held a three-year study visa for England. He was scheduled to return to India soon to attend his sister's engagement ceremony.
"We were actively preparing for his homecoming. We had even booked a marriage palace for the engagement celebration. Before any of that could happen, a horrific road accident claimed his life," Parveen Kumar added with visible emotion.
Family Seeks Government Assistance
The grieving family has made a heartfelt appeal to both the Punjab government and the Central government. They urgently need help to bring Keshav's body back to India for final rites.
This tragedy has highlighted the risks faced by young Indians pursuing opportunities abroad. Keshav's story represents both the aspirations and vulnerabilities of many families in rural Punjab.
The community in Nangal Brahmana village continues to mourn their loss. They remember a young man who carried his family's hopes across continents, only to have his journey end in sudden tragedy.
