Gyan Bindu Director Seeks Action Against Khan Sir Over Brother's Death
Gyan Bindu Director Seeks Action Against Khan Sir

Patna: Gyan Bindu GS Academy director Roshan Anand on Wednesday submitted an application at Kadamkuan police station seeking action against educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with the death of his brother Prince Yadav in a Nepal hotel and an alleged attack on him during his stay in Beur Central Jail.

Anand met SHO Janmejay Rai and remained at the police station for nearly two hours. His lawyer also arrived shortly after, while several supporters gathered outside.

The move comes days after Anand secured bail on Monday in the June 2 coaching centre attack case related to an alleged assault on Khan Global Studies. Security personnel were reportedly attacked in the incident. While Anand is out on bail, his brother Abhishek and associate Gaurav remain in judicial custody after a judicial magistrate first class court rejected their bail pleas. Their lawyer said fresh petitions would be moved before the district judge after obtaining certified copies of the order.

Town DSP Rajesh Ranjan said Anand submitted an application but no FIR has been registered. He added that incidents from different jurisdictions cannot be clubbed in a single complaint.

“The application combines incidents from Nepal and Beur jail. These are separate matters and must be addressed individually. The death occurred in Nepal and the autopsy report is awaited, so the matter falls under Nepal’s jurisdiction,” the DSP said.

Ranjan added that Anand also alleged a conspiracy to harm him in Beur jail between June 12 and 13, but said the claim requires verification.

Police further advised Anand to file a separate application regarding the Beur incident so a zero FIR could be registered and forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

On the June 2 coaching dispute, the DSP said the application mentions only a minor scuffle involving security guards, with one guard sustaining injuries.

Earlier, Anand had met JD(U) acting national president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, who assured him of a fair probe into Prince Yadav’s death and strict action against those found guilty.
