HC Admits Dushyant Chautala Petition Over Police Incident

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has admitted the petition filed by former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala concerning an alleged confrontation with Haryana Police on April 17. The court has directed the Superintendent of Police of Hisar to submit an affidavit in the matter.

Chautala Alleges Conspiracy

Addressing the media in Hisar on Friday, Chautala claimed there was a larger conspiracy behind the incident. Chautala, who is a Y-Plus category protectee, stated that a vehicle with tinted windows and a police light blocked his convoy near the Auto Market in Hisar. He alleged that a police officer brandished a pistol and issued a verbal threat to his personal security officer.

Appeal to Public

Chautala appealed to the public to share photographs of police vehicles with black films or without number plates, promising to take action on such instances. He also mentioned that the next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 30.

Allegations Against CIA

Chautala further alleged that his supporters were picked up by members of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) in plain clothes during late-night actions following protests at Guru Jambeshwar University. Referring to the Haryana Uniform Code, Chautala asserted that CIA personnel are not permitted to operate in plain clothes. He demanded that the Director General of Police clarify under what authority teams carried out raids in civil dress late at night.
