Shimla Police Apprehends Interstate Drug Kingpin in Major Punjab Operation

In a significant breakthrough against illicit drug trafficking, Shimla police have successfully arrested a prominent interstate drug kingpin from Punjab. The operation marks a crucial step in dismantling a widespread narcotics network that has been under investigation for several months.

Police Investigation and Breakthrough

Following the initial arrests, police launched a thorough investigation, focusing on technical and digital evidence to trace the source of the heroin. By establishing backward linkages, investigators were able to identify Sunny Rathore as the primary supplier. A specialized police team was subsequently dispatched to Punjab to execute the arrest.

Authorities stated, "During the investigation, police analysed technical and digital evidence and identified the main supplier of the contraband by establishing backward linkages. Following this, a team was dispatched to Punjab from where the drug kingpin was arrested."

Ongoing Probe and Future Actions

The investigation remains active, with police examining the potential involvement of additional drug traffickers within this network. Officials emphasized that this arrest is part of a broader crackdown on interstate drug operations, aiming to curb the flow of narcotics into Himachal Pradesh and neighboring regions.

This development underscores the relentless efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating drug-related crimes and highlights the importance of inter-state cooperation in such operations.
