In a major breakthrough for security agencies, a fugitive wanted in connection with an ISI-linked terror case has been arrested in Mumbai. The suspect, who had been on the run for several months, is now under intense interrogation for his alleged links to an aide of the notorious underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The arrest was made late Tuesday evening by a joint team of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Mumbai Police. Acting on a tip-off, the team laid a trap in the suburban area of Andheri and apprehended the suspect, identified as a 35-year-old man. He had been evading arrest since a case was registered against him in 2024 for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to carry out terror activities in the country under the direction of ISI operatives.

During preliminary investigations, the suspect is believed to have disclosed his connections with a close associate of Dawood Ibrahim, who is based in Karachi. The aide is known to have facilitated funding and logistical support for terror modules in India. The ATS has seized several electronic devices from the suspect, which are being examined to uncover the extent of his network.
