Kanpur Man Accuses Wife of Extortion via False Rape Cases in Delhi
Kanpur man alleges wife ran extortion racket with fake rape cases

A startling case of alleged extortion and fraud has emerged from Kanpur, where a man has accused his wife of running a racket that involved filing false rape cases in Delhi to blackmail and extort money from people.

Marriage, Separation, and Allegations of a Fake Company

The complainant, a resident of the Kotwali area in Kanpur, stated that he married the woman in November 2007. The couple had a son in 2011. According to his detailed complaint, his wife later left for Delhi. There, he alleges, she opened a fake company in partnership with an associate and began her illicit activities.

The man claimed that his wife would project herself as unmarried to get close to potential targets. After establishing a connection, she would allegedly file criminal cases, including rape charges, to blackmail and extort money from them. The husband expressed deep concern that such criminal actions could severely impact the future of their young son.

Legal Battle for Custody and Forged Documents

The dispute escalated when the man approached the court seeking custody of his son. In response, he alleges that his wife submitted forged documents to the court. In her affidavit, she reportedly mentioned an address in Lucknow. Frustrated by the situation, the husband took his grievances to official channels.

He lodged complaints on the Chief Minister's public grievance portal and even appealed directly to the Police Commissioner. However, he claims no concrete action was taken initially. This perceived inaction finally compelled him to move the court, which led to the registration of the First Information Report (FIR).

Police Register FIR and Promise Further Action

Based on the husband's persistent complaints, the Kotwali police station in Kanpur has registered a formal case. The charges included in the FIR are serious, encompassing fraud, criminal conspiracy, and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The case has been filed against the woman and her associate.

When contacted, Acting SHO Sanjay Kumar confirmed the development. He stated that the police will proceed with the investigation and take further necessary action after recording the statements of both parties involved in the case. The police are now tasked with verifying the serious allegations made by the Kanpur man.
