Kochi Road Rage Incident: KSRTC Bus Crew Attacked by Two-Wheeler Youths
In a shocking incident of road rage in Kochi, the Aluva police have registered a case after a KSRTC bus crew was violently attacked by two youths on a two-wheeler. The assault occurred on Friday, leaving the bus driver and conductor with injuries that required hospital treatment.
Details of the Violent Assault
The alleged incident took place at Kuttamassery on Thursday afternoon, while the bus was conducting its regular service between Aluva and Adoor. According to police reports, the two youths became enraged when the bus blocked their path while overtaking another vehicle. In a fit of anger, they chased down the bus, forcibly blocked its movement, and launched a physical attack on the staff.
The attackers reportedly hurled a helmet at the bus driver before assaulting both him and the conductor. The bus crew sustained significant injuries and were immediately taken to a hospital in Aluva for medical attention. The police have identified the victims as Shyamkumar of Kayamkulam, the driver, and Praveen of Sasthamkotta, the conductor.
Police Investigation and Passenger Safety
Following the attack, the passengers on the bus were safely transferred to other vehicles to continue their journeys. The Aluva police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter and are actively working to track down the two accused youths. Efforts are currently underway to locate and apprehend the individuals responsible for this violent act.
