Deadly Blaze Claims 15 Lives in Lucknow Building
A devastating fire in Lucknow on June 22, 2026, claimed 15 lives, with most victims being young adults who had gathered in the building for work or training. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, with preliminary reports suggesting an electrical short circuit may have been responsible. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences and announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased. He also directed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for those injured.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, as most victims were in their 20s and 30s, pursuing careers or training. Local residents described scenes of panic as people tried to escape the flames. Firefighters took several hours to bring the blaze under control. The building housed several small offices and training centers, which were operating when the fire started.
