Lucknow Wife's Elaborate Plot to Frame Husband with Beef Conspiracy Unraveled

What began as a seemingly routine seizure of cow slaughter material on the outskirts of Lucknow has evolved into a dark psychological thriller involving marital betrayal, burner phones, fabricated identities, and a meticulously orchestrated attempt to send an innocent man to jail not once, but twice. The mastermind behind this intricate scheme was the man's own wife, whose arrest was previously attempted within the premises of the High Court.

The Initial Incident and Investigation

The plot traces back to January 14, when police in Kakori, acting on a tip-off allegedly made to the Bajrang Dal, intercepted an online porter vehicle near Durgaganj. During the inspection, authorities discovered 12 kilograms of beef. The driver revealed that the delivery was booked under the name of Wasif, a paper factory owner from Aminabad.

Wasif immediately denied placing any such order, but surveillance checks indicated that the one-time password (OTP) used to authenticate the delivery was generated from his mobile number. However, a crucial twist emerged when CCTV footage from Wasif's residence showed that at the exact moment the OTP was used, he was inside the bathroom, with his phone lying unattended outside.

"That single frame changed the direction of the entire investigation," a senior police officer emphasized, highlighting how this evidence shifted the focus from Wasif to potential foul play.

Uncovering the Conspiracy

Investigators soon uncovered that the beef consignment was deliberately planted to frame Wasif. The probe revealed that his wife allegedly conspired with her lover, Amaan, a resident of Bhopal, to execute the plan. "Amaan—using the husband's identity documents—booked the online porter from Aminabad to Kakori. The beef was transported from Bhopal, concealed inside a cardboard box, and stealthily loaded onto the vehicle," explained Inspector Satish Chandra Rathore of Kakori police station.

To ensure swift police interception, Amaan allegedly tipped off Bajrang Dal members under the fake identity of Rahul. On December 31, Amaan travelled to Lucknow, where the duo procured a SIM card registered in the name of a roadside beggar. This SIM was used exclusively to book the consignment, adding a layer of deception to their scheme.

Background of the Relationship and Previous Incident

Police traced the origins of the relationship, revealing that the woman and Amaan connected on Instagram in 2022. What began as casual chats soon escalated into a full-blown affair. This was not the first attempt to frame Wasif. In September of last year, nearly 20 kilograms of beef was recovered from a black Mahindra Thar parked at a multi-level parking facility in Hazratganj. Wasif, as the registered owner, was arrested and sent to jail.

It later emerged that the beef was allegedly planted inside the vehicle early in the morning while Wasif was away. "Wasif came out of jail quickly that time, but his wife wanted him behind bars for a longer period. That was when the second, far more sophisticated conspiracy was put into motion," Inspector Rathore stated, underscoring the persistence and planning involved.

Motivation and Current Status

The police clarified that the motive behind these elaborate schemes was personal. "The motive was personal. To pressure her husband into divorcing her," authorities said, linking the plot to marital discord and betrayal. Police have arrested Amaan, and the role of Wasif's wife has been firmly established during the investigation. "She will be arrested soon," the inspector added, indicating that legal action is imminent.

This case highlights not only the complexities of modern crime involving digital tools and fake identities but also the dark extremes to which personal conflicts can escalate, turning a domestic dispute into a criminal conspiracy with serious legal ramifications.
