Mob Invades Ludhiana Hospital Emergency Ward, Drags Patient for Brutal Assault

In a shocking breach of security, a violent mob stormed the emergency ward of Ludhiana Civil Hospital on Tuesday night. The attackers dragged a bloodied patient from his hospital bed to resume a brutal assault that had started earlier in the day.

Violence Follows Patient into Medical Sanctuary

The victim, Gurmeet Singh from Meharban village, was receiving treatment for a head injury. He sustained this injury during a dispute over kite flying. His attackers reportedly followed him into the hospital. They barged into the emergency ward where he lay vulnerable.

A viral video captures the horrifying scene. It shows the mob pulling Singh from his bed. The footage has sparked widespread outrage across the community. People are questioning the safety of patients in public healthcare facilities.

Dispute Over Kite Flying Escalates into Hospital Attack

The violence began on Tuesday afternoon. Singh's nephew, Gurpreet, got into an argument with a local man known as "Gaggu." The disagreement quickly turned physical.

Gaggu and his accomplices allegedly pelted the family with bricks. When Gurmeet Singh tried to intervene, he was struck in the head. The injury was serious enough to require emergency care at Ludhiana Civil Hospital.

Doctors were attending to Singh in the emergency ward. Despite this, the group tracked him to the hospital. They stormed the ward and dragged him back out. The mob continued beating him right outside the medical facility.

Security Personnel Accused of Inaction

Gurmeet Singh later made serious allegations. He claimed that police personnel stationed at the hospital post simply stood by. They watched as the mob assaulted him within the hospital's halls.

This alleged inaction raises grave concerns. It highlights the vulnerability of patients in public healthcare settings. Hospital officials have remained silent so far. They have not commented on why security protocols failed to prevent the mob's entry.

Police Launch Investigation into Security Breach

Ludhiana police have confirmed they are investigating the security lapse. ASI Bhupinder Singh from the Civil Hospital Police Post provided an update. He stated that official statements are being recorded from all parties involved.

A formal case is being registered against Gaggu and his unidentified associates. The investigation aims to determine how such a breach could occur in a high-priority medical zone.

This incident serves as a wake-up call for hospital security systems across the region. Patients deserve safety and protection, especially when they are most vulnerable in emergency care situations.
