Police have identified the deceased as Gurupandi, 18, a resident of Anuppanadi, and Samuel, 21, from Palayamkottai in the Tirunelveli district. Additionally, Guruprasad, 18, suffered critical injuries in the collision and is currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital. Samuel was employed as a hotel worker and was returning from work at the time of the accident.

According to police reports, the collision took place around 12:15 am when Samuel was riding his motorcycle. At the same time, two construction workers, including Gurupandi, were traveling in the opposite direction. Both riders were driving at high speeds, and as they approached a government-aided school on Kamarajar Salai, their vehicles collided head-on. The impact was severe, leading to the instant deaths of both riders at the scene.

Following the incident, police swiftly responded by shifting Guruprasad to Govt Rajaji Hospital for medical care. The bodies of the deceased were recovered and sent for autopsy to determine the exact causes of death.
