Man beaten to death in Jaipur over old grudge

A 30-year-old man was brutally beaten to death with sticks and iron rods in Jaipur's Sanganer area on Friday night in what police suspect was a revenge attack. The deceased has been identified as Chet Ram Gurjar, a resident of Nainwa in Bundi district, who had come to Jaipur to attend a wedding.

Dispute and Planning

According to police officials, the victim had a dispute about a month ago in his village with a man named Kaushal Nagar, who currently runs a tea stall in Sanganer. Nagar allegedly harbored a grudge and meticulously planned the attack. Around 10:15 pm, when Chet Ram was walking toward a shop, the accused and his associates, who were waiting in a car, intercepted him and launched a violent assault.

The Assault

The assailants repeatedly struck the victim with sticks and iron rods, leaving him critically injured before fleeing the scene. Acquaintances rushed him to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, but he was declared dead during treatment. Police arrived at the hospital upon receiving information and later transferred the body to SMS Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
