A tragic incident in Palnadu district has resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man due to electrocution. The event occurred late on Friday night at the busy NRT Centre located in Chilakaluripet town.
Details of the Chilakaluripet Electrocution Incident
According to the local police, the deceased has been identified as Sunil, a professional driver who resided in the Pandaripuram locality. The preliminary investigation suggests that Sunil was under the influence of alcohol and was creating a disturbance at the centre around midnight.
People present at the spot informed his father, Venkata Rao, about the situation. Venkata Rao arrived at the scene and urged his son to return home. However, Sunil allegedly refused to listen and continued arguing.
Fatal Climb and Immediate Aftermath
In a fit of rage, Sunil moved towards a nearby electric pole and attempted to climb it. During this attempt, he came into contact with a live wire. He was electrocuted instantly and fell to the ground, sustaining severe head injuries from the fall. He died on the spot, as confirmed by the police authorities.
Sunil is survived by his wife and a young daughter, leaving the family in profound grief.
Police Action and Investigation
On receiving information about the accident, police personnel reached the scene promptly. The body was shifted to the Chilakaluripet government hospital for a postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death formally.
The police have registered a case regarding the incident, and further investigation is currently underway to piece together the complete sequence of events.
