Commissioner of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy CH confirmed that the accused, identified as Suhana, is a native of Hulidevarabana in Sagar taluk of Shivamogga district. She is currently a final-year BCA student at a college in Kundapur.

The arrest was made by the Mangaluru police following a tip-off. During the operation, authorities seized a substantial quantity of high-quality hydroponic weed and ganja from her possession. The street value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 35 lakh, indicating the involvement of a larger drug network.
