In a brazen late-night robbery, a food delivery executive was threatened with a pistol and robbed of his motorcycle by three armed assailants in Mohali. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and highlighted the risks faced by gig economy workers during night hours.

The victim, identified as Amit Kumar, a 29-year-old resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was carrying out a food delivery assignment. On the intervening night of December 23 and 24, he had gone to Sector 108 with an order. The situation turned dangerous when he reached the vicinity of the Raipur Kalan bus stand around 11:15 PM.
According to the victim's statement, three youths riding a motorcycle intercepted him. In a swift and terrifying move, one of the accused pulled out a pistol and pointed it directly at Amit Kumar. The other two accomplices physically pushed him to the ground. Overpowering the delivery executive, the trio then snatched his motorcycle and fled the scene, leaving the victim shaken but physically unharmed.
