Nagpur Police Arrest Four Youths Following Violent Armed Attack on Residential Property
In a shocking incident of domestic violence and criminal intimidation, four youths were apprehended by authorities in Nagpur after they allegedly forced their way into a private residence armed with dangerous weapons. The event unfolded around 8:30 PM on March 23, with the perpetrators reportedly intent on causing fatal harm to the homeowner and his son.
Details of the Armed Assault and Vandalism
The accused individuals, identified as Sahil Pravin Patil, Sohel alias Chiku Salim Khan, Deepak Laxmi Prasad Bisen, and Pawan Kishore Wardhe, along with five to six accomplices, carried out a premeditated attack. Armed with a knife, an axe, a stick, and a sword, they targeted 44-year-old Suresh Joharsingh Chavan. When Chavan failed to disclose the whereabouts of his son, the group assaulted him violently with the axe and sword, inflicting serious injuries.
In addition to the physical assault, the assailants engaged in extensive vandalism, damaging property within the house. They also issued explicit death threats directed at the complainant's son before fleeing the scene to evade immediate capture. The severity of the attack necessitated urgent medical attention for Chavan, who was promptly rushed to Mayo Hospital for critical treatment.
Police Response and Legal Actions
Following the incident, the Gittikhadan police station took swift action by registering a formal case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation led to the arrest of all four primary accused, marking a significant step in addressing this grave breach of public safety. Authorities are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend the remaining accomplices involved in the crime.
