Acting on credible information that a 23-year-old individual named Sujit Thakur was planning to commit a serious crime using a firearm, the police team swiftly set up a trap near a bus stop on Friday. Recovery of Firearm and Other Items

During interrogation, Sujit Thakur disclosed that he had handed over the firearm to his friend, Ankit Walke, aged 30, from Sonar Mohalla in Parseoni, for safekeeping. Following this lead, the police conducted a thorough search at Walke's residence, where they recovered a country-made Mauser pistol. The authorities seized the pistol, which is valued at approximately Rs 40,000, along with two mobile phones worth Rs 70,000, bringing the total seizure value to Rs 1.10 lakh.
