Nagpur Police Conduct Major Raid on Illegal Hookah Parlor Operation
In a significant crackdown on illicit activities, the Ambazari police force in Nagpur executed a targeted raid on Saturday night. The operation focused on a cafe situated on the bustling Gokulpeth main road, which was allegedly functioning as an unauthorized hookah parlour. The manager, identified as Chandan Jaygadi (23), along with staff members Arhan Ahmed (19) and Takshak Bhaware (20), were taken into custody. These arrests were made on the grounds of their active participation in distributing banned tobacco items to customers.
Subsequently, a formal case was registered at the Ambazari police station, documenting the illegal activities uncovered during the raid. In addition to the detained staff, the cafe owner, Tejas Sardar (28), has also been named in the case. Authorities are investigating his potential role and responsibility in facilitating the illicit hookah parlour business within his premises.
