In a shocking incident from Nagpur, a Class 10 girl, aged 17, gave birth to a child three days ago, culminating in the arrest of a 20-year-old youth. The accused, identified as Prajwal Khedkar, a resident of Hanuman Society in Pachpaoli who works as a tile fixer, had allegedly acquainted the survivor on Instagram approximately a year ago.
Love Trap and Abduction Allegations
According to police reports, Prajwal Khedkar lured the minor girl into what they describe as a love trap. He allegedly abducted her under the pretext of marriage, bringing her to his home where they began living together. During this period, in a disturbing twist, he managed to get the survivor's Aadhaar card forged with the surname Khedkar, falsely showing her age as 20 years old instead of her actual minor status.
Discovery and Arrest After Birth
The situation unraveled after the girl gave birth. Doctors, suspecting she might be a minor, requested her school certificate for the child's birth certificate. When the certificate was produced, it revealed her true age as 17, prompting immediate police action. The Pachpaoli police swiftly registered a case under various sections, including rape, and arrested Prajwal Khedkar. Police Inspector Baburao Raut is currently guiding the investigation into this distressing case.
