In a tragic incident in Nagpur, a 26-year-old woman has allegedly died by suicide after facing persistent dowry harassment from her husband and in-laws. The case, which has shocked the local community, highlights the grim reality of dowry-related abuse that continues to plague society.

The deceased, identified as Sana Anjum Akil Khan, was a resident of the Ganjipeth area in Nagpur. On April 7, around 5 PM, she was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home. Sana had married Shoaib, also known as Saif Ayub Khan, who is 30 years old, in the year 2024. According to police reports, the marriage was marred by severe harassment from the very beginning. Sana allegedly endured sustained physical and mental torture at the hands of her husband, as well as her father-in-law Naseem (57), mother-in-law, and sister-in-law Sameena, also known as Soni (35).
Allegations of Dowry Demands and Abuse
Investigations revealed that the accused family members repeatedly demanded money from Sana, subjecting her to relentless pressure and abuse.
