Panchkula Police Register Murder Case in Skeletal Remains Mystery
Police in Panchkula are now actively pursuing a murder investigation. This follows the grim discovery of skeletal remains near the Sector 20 cremation ground. The case has taken a serious turn from a simple recovery to a suspected homicide.
Discovery of the Remains
Officers found the skeletal remains on a deserted patch of land. This discovery happened during the intervening night of December 22 and 23. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition. This condition made initial identification extremely difficult for the authorities.
Identity Revealed Through Crucial Clues
After conducting a postmortem examination, police identified the deceased woman. She was Madhri, also known as Simran. Originally from Rajasthan, she lived in Dhakoli. Madhri worked as a club dancer. She had been in a live-in relationship with a man named Inder for nearly four years.
Investigators pieced together her recent history. Madhri moved to Dhakoli with Inder in October 2025. They were searching for work opportunities. With help from friends, she started getting dance assignments. These jobs were at clubs in Zirakpur and nearby areas.
The Disappearance and Suspicious Silence
Madhri went missing on the night of November 13. She never returned to her home. Shockingly, her live-in partner Inder did not report her disappearance. He failed to lodge any missing person complaint with the police. He also did not inform authorities about her absence.
Nearly seventeen days later, her skeletal remains were discovered in Panchkula. The poor condition of the body posed a major challenge. However, police found two vital clues that broke the case open.
Key Evidence Found:- A distinctive tattoo on her hand provided one clue.
- A jacket found at the scene contained a second crucial piece of evidence.
Inside the jacket, police discovered a slip related to weight loss. This slip held the contact number of a man named Vicky. Vicky is a resident of Swastik Vihar in Zirakpur. He is also a known friend of Inder. These clues ultimately led investigators to confirm Madhri's identity.
Murder Case Registered and Investigation Intensifies
Sector 20 police station SHO Sombir Dhaka provided details on the case progression. He confirmed that a murder case has now been officially registered. This registration is based on a formal complaint filed by Madhri's friend, Vicky.
Police have formed several dedicated teams to handle this investigation. These teams are working to trace the accused individuals. They are also trying to piece together the exact circumstances that led to Madhri's death.
SHO Sombir Dhaka stated that police are examining every possible angle in this case. He expressed confidence that the investigation will yield results soon. The authorities believe they will solve this mysterious and tragic case.
The community in Panchkula and surrounding areas awaits further developments. This case has highlighted serious concerns about missing persons and police procedures.
