The Mehatpur police have arrested Tarsem Singh of Bhangwan village under Lohian Khas police station for rash driving. The arrest follows a complaint by Jaspal Chand of Udhowal village, who alleged that on June 27, the accused drove his vehicle fast and negligently, hitting his motorcycle and injuring him and his family members.
Gold Stolen from House in Nakodar
The Nakodar police have registered a case against unidentified persons for stealing gold and other items from a house. Lakhwindar Singh, a resident of Shankar village, reported that thieves broke into his house on the night of July 6 and took away gold and other valuables.
Two Arrested for Drug Peddling
The Nakodar police arrested Jugesh Kumar, alias Sani, of Kala Sanghian village in Kapurthala for selling intoxicating tablets. Ten tablets were recovered from his possession, and a case under the NDPS Act has been registered. Separately, the Nurmahal police arrested Akash Deep of Umrewal village in Nakodar with 24 tablets.
