Police Crack Down on Criminal Gang in Fazilka

The Fazilka police have made significant progress in investigating the murder of hitman Badal, who was killed by his own accomplices during a confrontation with law enforcement officials. According to official statements released on Friday, the authorities have successfully identified the perpetrators and filed formal charges against two individuals named Raju and Sonu.

Dramatic Encounter Unfolds in Mehmu Joyia Village

The incident occurred on Thursday when a police team from Ferozepur arrived at a cremation ground near Mehmu Joyia village. Their mission was to recover illegal weapons and apprehend suspects connected to the murder of RSS activist Naveen Arora. Upon spotting the police presence, the two accused opened fire in an attempt to facilitate Badal's escape from police custody.

During the ensuing exchange of gunfire, both Badal and head constable Balour Singh sustained injuries. They were immediately transported to the government hospital in Fazilka for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Badal succumbed to his injuries while receiving care at the healthcare facility.

Evidence Recovery and Investigation Developments

Law enforcement officials conducted a thorough search of the crime scene and recovered substantial evidence. The seized items included two country-made pistols of 30 and 32-bore caliber, 20 empty cartridge shells, and a bulletproof jacket. The police confirmed that the assailants exploited the foggy weather conditions to flee from the location after the shooting.

Amir Khas police station in-charge Gurinder Singh provided details about the case registration. "We have registered a case against the two identified accused, Raju and Sonu, who are currently absconding. Our teams are actively searching for their whereabouts," stated the police official.

RSS Connection and Family Reactions

Baldev Arora, father of the murdered RSS activist Naveen Arora, expressed confusion and grief over his son's targeted killing. "Neither I nor my son ever received any threats. We never had conflicts with anyone, and I cannot comprehend why my son became a target," he lamented.

The grieving father also commented on the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. "The crime rate in Punjab has accelerated dramatically in recent times. One can never predict who might become a victim of violence and when these incidents might occur," Arora observed.

When questioned about potential political motivations behind his son's murder, Baldev Arora acknowledged the history of attacks on RSS members in Punjab. "There have been previous instances where RSS activists and leaders were targeted in the state. Therefore, we cannot rule out the possibility that this attack was specifically directed against the RSS organization," he explained.

Police Investigation Reveals Targeted Killing Angle

Senior law enforcement officials have provided insights into the ongoing investigation. Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, Senior Superintendent of Police for Ferozepur, described the murder as a professionally planned execution. The police have dismissed theories involving robbery, extortion, or personal enmity as potential motives.

"The murder was orchestrated with professional precision, which led us to discard the personal enmity theory," SSP Sidhu stated. He also addressed social media speculation about Khalistani involvement, confirming that such claims were determined to be fabricated upon investigation.

The senior police official emphasized, "It has become absolutely evident that a Hindu organization was the intended target. The complete picture will emerge only after we conclude our thorough investigation. There appear to be deliberate attempts to destabilize the peace in Punjab."

The Fazilka police continue their search operations to apprehend the fugitive accused while further investigating the broader conspiracy behind these interconnected criminal activities.
