Details of the Dowry Harassment Allegations

According to police reports, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed based on a complaint from the brother of the deceased woman. The complaint alleged that his sister had married Mahendra Saroj in 2020. However, after the marriage, she faced continuous harassment from her husband and in-laws, who were demanding an additional dowry of Rs 2 lakh.

The situation took a tragic turn on April 17, when the woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances. The police investigation led to the arrests of Mahendra Saroj and his mother, Rekha, as part of their probe into the dowry death case. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to uncover further details and ensure justice is served.

These incidents underscore ongoing issues with road safety and social evils like dowry harassment in the region, calling for increased vigilance and stricter enforcement of laws.
