Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Exposes International Gangster Networks Funding Shooters
In a significant revelation, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has highlighted how criminal syndicates are actively funding shooters in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Mann emphasized that several such operatives have already been arrested in Punjab, showcasing the state's proactive stance against organized crime.
Coordinated Efforts with Central Ministries
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is maintaining close coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs to track down and extradite accused individuals from across the globe. Mann stated that the Punjab government is in constant touch with these twin union ministries to ensure the deportation of gangsters and criminals wanted in the state.
"The law and order situation in Punjab remains normal. The ongoing Gangsters te Vaar campaign is delivering a decisive blow to crime," Mann affirmed, underscoring the effectiveness of these sustained efforts.
Global Reach of Criminal Networks
Mann detailed that many gangsters are not operating their networks from Punjab but are running their operations from abroad. He explained, "All those gangsters about whom we receive information are not operating their network from Punjab but are running their operations from abroad. Some individuals are supplying weapons, while there are shooters who are being paid in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar; many such shooters have also been arrested."
When such information is received, the Punjab government immediately contacts the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs. This collaboration has already yielded results, with several key accused brought back to face justice.
Extraditions from Multiple Countries
The Chief Minister highlighted the global spread of these criminal networks, noting that extraditions have been secured from various countries. "Some come from Dubai, sometimes from Portugal, sometimes from England, sometimes from America, and sometimes from Canada," he said, underlining the extensive reach of the crackdown.
This multi-pronged approach demonstrates the Punjab government's commitment to dismantling international gangster networks and ensuring public safety through rigorous law enforcement and international cooperation.
