In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the community, a 40-year-old man was allegedly run over and killed by a 20-year-old youth in Nana Matra village of Vichhiya taluka, Rajkot district, on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Gabha, also known as Gabhru Garabhdiya, a resident of the area. According to official reports, a case has been registered at the Vichhiya police station based on a complaint filed by the victim's wife, Ramila alias Jashu Garabhdiya, who is 35 years old.

As per the complaint, the incident unfolded around 9 am on Wednesday when Gabha was heading to a farm to spray pesticides. He was traveling on a motorcycle with his son Rohit and daughter Kailash, embarking on what should have been a routine agricultural task. Within just 10 minutes of leaving their home, the accused allegedly rammed his Swift car into their two-wheeler from behind in a deliberate and violent manner.
The impact was severe, and in a horrifying turn of events, the accused then drove over the motorcycle, causing critical injuries to Gabha. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and died during the course of treatment.
