Ranchi DLSA Acts Swiftly to Support Kidnapped Children with Government Sponsorship
The Ranchi District Legal Service Authority took decisive action on Thursday. They initiated measures to bring two young siblings, Ansh and Anshika, under government sponsorship and various social welfare schemes. This move follows the traumatic kidnapping and subsequent recovery of the children.
Children Recovered After Harrowing Ordeal
Ansh, aged five, and his sister Anshika, aged four, faced a terrifying experience. Kidnappers took them from their home in Dhurwa on January 2. Authorities successfully recovered the children from Chitarpur in Ramgarh district on Wednesday, bringing immense relief to their family and community.
Legal Authorities Direct Immediate Support
Justice SN Prasad, a Jharkhand High Court judge and executive chairman of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority, issued clear directions. Judicial Commissioner Ranchi AK Mishra also played a key role. Acting on these directives, DLSA officials met the children's parents at Bada Khatal on Thursday. They conducted a thorough enquiry into the family's problems and needs.
Monthly Financial Assistance for Education
DLSA Secretary Rakesh Roushan outlined the sponsorship scheme details. Each child will receive Rs 4,000 per month. This financial support aims specifically at ensuring better education opportunities. The scheme remains effective until both children reach eighteen years of age.
During the meeting, officials took practical steps to help the family. They filled out forms to create Aadhar cards for Ansh and Anshika. This documentation will facilitate access to other essential services and benefits.
Health Checks and Legal Aid Information
Secretary Roushan issued important instructions to concerned officials. He directed them to arrange comprehensive medical tests for both children. He also advised the parents to provide excellent care and supervision.
Roushan used the occasion to spread awareness about legal assistance. He informed everyone present that individuals needing legal aid can contact the toll-free number 15100. Alternatively, they can visit the DLSA office directly for support and guidance.
Community Celebrates Children's Safe Return
Meanwhile, the Ansh Anshika Bachao Samiti organized a joyful celebration. Community members gathered for a feast and cut cakes to mark the children's safe return. The event provided emotional support to the family and highlighted community solidarity.
Young Ansh shared his frightening experience with media persons. He recounted how a thief took him and his sister away. The kidnappers provided inadequate food and forced them to sleep on the cold ground during winter nights. After returning home, his mother gave strict instructions never to go out alone again.
The Ranchi DLSA's proactive measures demonstrate a strong commitment to child welfare and legal support. This case highlights how government schemes can provide crucial assistance to vulnerable families in distress.
