In a startling discovery, a human skeleton was found in a densely forested region of Kharkkanatoli, located within the jurisdiction of the Kapkot police station in Bageshwar district. Sub-inspector Sanjay Dhauni provided crucial details regarding the initial identification process. Based on clothing and other personal items recovered at the site, investigators believe the remains could belong to Sher Singh, a 70-year-old resident of Baisani. Singh has been missing for approximately one year, with his disappearance reported to authorities shortly after it occurred.
"A formal missing person complaint was filed by his cousin soon after he vanished, but unfortunately, no significant leads had emerged until now," Dhauni stated, highlighting the prolonged nature of the search efforts.

Station House Officer Pratap Nagarkoti confirmed that the skeletal remains have been carefully collected and sent for a comprehensive post-mortem examination.
