Tragic Fire in Gadag Village Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Boy

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Hombal village of Gadag district on Monday night, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old teenager. The young boy, identified as Sadanand Uppar, a resident of Tarihal in Hubballi, lost his life after the parked cruiser he was sleeping in caught fire. The blaze was reportedly ignited by sparks from a burning mosquito coil.

Details of the Fatal Accident

According to family sources, Sadanand was visiting his grandfather's house in Hombal village. To escape the intense summer heat, he decided to sleep inside a cruiser parked outside the residence. His elder brother, Mailari Uppar, aged 16, was sleeping on top of the vehicle at the time.

In an attempt to ward off mosquitoes, Sadanand had placed a burning mosquito coil inside the cruiser. Tragically, a spark from the coil landed on the cushion seat, quickly igniting a fire that spread rapidly through the vehicle.
