Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has directed the police to register cases of sexual crimes promptly and ensure that culprits receive stringent punishment. The directive was issued during a high-level meeting convened to review the law and order situation in the state, with a special focus on crimes against women and children.

At the meeting, CM Vijay emphasized the need for swift action in registering First Information Reports (FIRs) in cases of sexual offenses. He instructed police officials to avoid any delays in the registration of such cases and to conduct thorough investigations to build strong evidence against the accused.
Speedy Trial and Precautionary Measures
The Chief Minister also directed the Advocate General to expedite the trial process in cases related to crimes against women and children. He called for the implementation of precautionary measures to prevent such incidents, including increased patrolling in vulnerable areas and the installation of CCTV cameras at strategic locations.
CM Vijay stressed the importance of creating a safe environment for women and children across the state. He urged the police to work in coordination with the legal system to ensure that victims receive justice without undue delay.
