CO Auraiya Ashok Singh reported that police personnel were conducting a routine checking operation when they spotted two suspicious motorcycles. Officers immediately signaled for the motorcycles to stop. In response, the criminals opened fire directly at the police team.

During this exchange of gunfire, one criminal identified as Shivam from Kutupur village under Phaphund police station sustained a leg injury. Police successfully arrested Shivam's accomplice, Harsh from Panki in Kanpur, at the scene.
