Two Men Held for Alleged Assault on Minor in Northwest Delhi

Police in New Delhi have taken into custody two individuals accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in the Samaypur Badli area of northwest Delhi. The distressing incident was first reported to the authorities on December 20 following an emergency PCR call originating from Raja Vihar.

Investigation Launched After Distress Call

The police response was triggered when the PCR call alerted them about a young girl who was reportedly forced to consume alcohol. Acting swiftly, a team from the Samaypur Badli police station commenced a detailed inquiry into the matter.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar V Swami stated that during the investigation, the survivor underwent a medical examination. Her official statement was recorded, and the contents pointed towards a sexual assault, forming the basis of the police's subsequent actions.

Accused Identified and Modus Operandi Revealed

The investigators identified the accused as Narottam, also known as Neta (28), who operates a barber shop in Raja Vihar, and Rishabh (26), who is employed at a bank. According to the police, Narottam introduced the minor survivor to Rishabh.

On December 20, the duo allegedly took the girl to a vacant house owned by Narottam. It is there that they are accused of coercing the child into drinking alcohol and then sexually assaulting her, DCP Swami added.
