Two Women Killed in Bus-Motorcycle Collision in Yamunanagar

Yamunanagar: Two women were killed after a private bus allegedly rammed their motorcycle on the Jagadhri-Paonta Sahib highway near Manakpur village in Haryana's Yamunanagar district on Monday morning.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Khusboo and Pooja. They were riding pillion on the motorcycle being driven by Shiv Kumar, who sustained injuries in the accident. Shiv and Khusboo had recently married on April 29.

Details of the Incident

According to police, the couple and their relative Pooja were en route to the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Chhachhrauli to offer prayers when the accident occurred. As they approached Manakpur village, their motorcycle was allegedly struck from behind by a private bus.

Khusboo and Pooja died on the spot, while Shiv Kumar was rushed to the civil hospital in Yamunanagar for treatment.

Police Action

The police have registered a case against the bus driver after arresting him and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
