The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 PM IST when the woman arrived at the station and insisted that the police facilitate her marriage to the man she accused of exploiting her. When officials refused, she reportedly pulled out a bottle of phenyl and drank it. Constables immediately seized the bottle and rushed her to a nearby hospital.
Police sources confirmed that the woman was conscious when admitted and received immediate medical attention. Doctors at the district hospital stated she is under observation but stable.

Senior police officials arrived at the scene and ordered an inquiry into how the survivor managed to bring the chemical into the station. A female officer was assigned to counsel the woman.
