In a shocking incident of domestic violence, a 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband at their residence in the Navapura area of Vadodara in the early hours of Saturday. The brutal attack followed a domestic dispute triggered by the husband's suspicion of an affair.

The accused, identified as Bunty Solanki (35), was arrested by Navapura police on Saturday morning, just hours after the fatal incident. Police reports indicate that the victim, Rita Solanki, lived with Bunty at Narayan Avenue Complex in Navapara. She worked on contract with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), where she was responsible for cleaning an office and performing various chores.
According to police investigators, the couple had been experiencing frequent arguments due to Bunty's persistent suspicion that Rita was involved in an extramarital affair. These tensions reached a breaking point on Friday night when another heated argument erupted between them, escalating late into the night.
The Fatal Attack and Aftermath
Around 12:30 AM, the situation turned deadly when Bunty allegedly attacked Rita with a knife, stabbing her multiple times in the chest and face. The vicious assault resulted in her immediate death at the scene.
After committing the crime, Bunty fled from the house, leaving behind a horrific scene. Alert neighbors quickly contacted the authorities, while the victim's parents and relatives were informed of the tragedy. Her parents and paternal uncle, Harish Parmar, rushed to Vadodara from Surat upon receiving the devastating news.
Parmar later lodged a formal murder complaint at the Navapura police station, initiating the official investigation into the case.

Police Inspector M S Asari revealed that Bunty's elderly mother and the couple's two sons were present in the house when the violent incident occurred. The couple had married in 2013 following a love relationship and were parents to two sons aged 13 years and 2 years.
The Navapura police acted swiftly, apprehending Bunty Solanki within hours of the crime. The investigation continues as authorities gather additional evidence and statements to build a comprehensive case against the accused.
