A joyous wedding celebration in Greater Noida descended into chaos and violence on Friday night when a disagreement over a traditional ritual escalated into a brutal assault, leaving six members of a family critically injured. All six injured individuals, including a 73-year-old elder, are currently undergoing medical treatment for their serious wounds. The victims were part of a group that had traveled from Jaganpur to attend the wedding, led by a man named Devendra.

In his formal complaint to the authorities, Devendra provided a harrowing account of the attack. He identified a man named Leela, along with numerous accomplices, as the perpetrators who surrounded his family. The assailants were allegedly armed with an array of dangerous weapons, including pistols, hockey sticks, and iron rods.
The attackers not only physically assaulted the family but also issued death threats and vandalized the family's vehicles. Devendra himself sustained serious injuries during the onslaught, while his father and uncle lost consciousness as a result of the beating.

Law enforcement officials have taken swift action in response to the violent episode. Two individuals, identified as Jitendra (son of Leela) and a relative named Yogesh, were arrested on Saturday. Furthermore, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against a total of 44 people.
