A postmortem examination conducted at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital later confirmed that the cause of death was ante-mortem hanging. Based on the preliminary investigation and the contents of the note, police have registered a case of abetment to suicide under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
