Property Dispute Leads to Woman's Murder in Kurnool District
Woman Killed in Land Dispute in Andhra's Kurnool

A property dispute has led to the brutal murder of a woman in Suluvayi village, located in Holagunda mandal of Kurnool district, during the late hours of Thursday. According to the Holagunda police, the deceased has been identified as Yellamma, the second wife of Gadi Lingappa.

Police investigation has revealed that Gadi Lingappa's son from his first wife, Gadi Sekanna, confronted Yellamma when she was alone in her house on Thursday night. He attacked her with a serrated sickle, causing fatal injuries that led to her death on the spot. The incident is believed to be the culmination of a long-standing dispute between the two families over a two-acre piece of land.

Upon receiving information, Holagunda police rushed to the crime scene and shifted Yellamma's body for postmortem examination. A case has been registered, and a hunt is underway for Sekanna, who is absconding after committing the crime.
