Incident in Mansa
A 36-year-old woman, identified as Sandeep Kaur, allegedly killed her three children before committing suicide in Punjab's Mansa district, police said on Friday. The incident came to light on Thursday evening when neighbours alerted authorities after noticing unusual silence from the house.
Police Investigation
Station House Officer (SHO) of City Police Station II, Mansa, Kulwant Singh confirmed the development over the phone. According to the SHO, Sandeep Kaur was found dead along with her three children at their residence in the city. The children were aged between 4 and 10 years.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the extreme step. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the woman may have been under severe mental stress, though no suicide note has been recovered so far. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Community Shocked
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community. Neighbors described Sandeep as a quiet and caring mother who rarely showed signs of distress. Further details are awaited as police continue their probe.
